Can I make an appointment / Can i book a review appointment?

Ambulatory Care is not an appointment service, so we cannot make an appointment for you at the clinic. For normal GP appointments, you should make an appointment with your regular GP. If you cannot make an appointment, you are welcome to present to the Royal Children’s Hospital Emergency Department where you will be triaged and if appropriate will be sent to our GP service. Depending on how busy it is, there will be a wait time.

Can I have a medical certificate for my visit?

If you ask the GP for a medical certificate during your consultation, they can provide it for you on the day. We cannot issue a backdated certificate if you forget to ask for one on the day. We can fax a copy of your discharge letter from your consultation to your regular GP or you are welcome to re-attend the clinic for a current fitness for work or medical certificate going forward, however it cannot be backdated to your attendance at the Royal Chidren’s Hospital.
